for the years ahead

My family grew up taking professional family photos at least twice a year, and my mom took her personal camera everywhere. My childhood is fully documented through hundreds of photo albums and thousands of photos on Shutterfly. You don’t really think about family photos in the moment, until years later, when you can look back and see everyone growing together.

I’m so grateful for that now, and I think a lot of my comfort behind the camera started there. Watching my mom document everyday life (and even photograph families on the side herself!) shaped the way I see the value in documenting every stage of life. I’d be honored to play a small part in the story you’ll one day look back on.
